

A lot of people expect interior designers to walk into their home and just start immediately berating them for how ugly and tacky everything is. I can guarantee you, most interior designers are NOT doing that. Instead, they’re thinking about themselves. “Does this sweater make my body look weird?” “Should I have brought something?” I don’t go into someone’s house with the main goal to think about everything that’s wrong with it. Obviously, I have design preferences. But normally in other peoples’ houses, I keep my opinion to myself because I’m not an asshole.
