I don't begrudge people trying to make a living as Influencers or what have you but Instagram is over-saturated with them and quite honestly, I don't need any more home decor items! I get disappointed when an IG story is a sponsored ad and not just something cute that someone's cat or dog or goats or chickens are doing. So yes, please stop making me redecorate rooms in my house and give me something else to think about, like the cute things that your dog does!

The best meal you ever ate, if you can remember. The worst. Where you are with food rn, given your genetics, where your body wants to go. You can always write about table settings. But wait, you hate family style dining so we won’t make you do this. I’ve always enjoyed reading what you write, even more than the interior design part of you (my style is different) So glad you’re doing this. xx Deb

As for content for future blog posts: I'm so curious WHO the followers are for these mega-influencers. Does the audience not realize that they are being marketed to, that everything is contrived, that there are other ways to find (likely higher quality) inspiration? Or are they just not thinking that critically? Are they teenagers? Naive? Easily manipulated? Bots? I don't get it. It's a shame that true talent is secondary to self-marketing. Those who constantly buy, brag and post trending audio with dumb dance moves seem to get further in their careers, and I hate that for creators. The social media popularity contest of the design world skews towards conventionally attractive married women with husky contractor husbands who work together to raise their five kids, tend to their hobby farm, and cover everything in laminate floors and peel and stick wallpaper.
I always find your commentaries entertaining and thought provoking. I loved your HGTV show, but can understand why it drained you. Watching you on IG allowed me to see more and of course your Precious Sadie! I love your writing style and am eagerly waiting more...
