I also wish you all the best with the new opportunities! I can't wait for more details on the Kickstarter. Ignore the influencers who get things for free. That's not reality for most people or for ANYONE in my social circle. I personally recently saved for over a year and cashed in a life insurance policy to replace my 15 year old clunker with...a used car. Did I drive off the lot feeling like a baller? Yes, yes, I did, and no one can take that feeling away from me! I feel like driving off a lot with a gently used car, feeling like you have won the lottery, is much closer to reality for most people than getting brand new kitchen remodels for free would be. :)

Orlando, I am a big fan and appreciate your candor about what it takes to make a living, realistically, as a wildly successful creative person. Thank you for your stories and ideas. The debate with Emily Henderson about TVs over fireplaces was very fun! You'll be glad to know that we first installed a Frame over a fireplace four years ago, but when we moved last year we installed it low on a wall in our little TV room. It's so much more comfortable to watch now.

Hearing you share your financial worries has helped me feel less alone in mine. I think for many of us older millennial/cusp of gen x'rs we are not where we thought we would be financially hitting 'mid-life'. But hey I try to remind myself there is still time and I think you've got the right attitude that it will all work out (it's not easy though. Take care lovely Orlando) xx

Wishing you all good things, Orlando!

I used to have a consultancy, where it was boom-bust cycling.

People might exclaim amazement at the boom, but generally have zero comprehension of the bust inbetween.

Your transparency is not only appreciated, it's much-needed in the oft-fickle world of celebrity; where most people choose (or is itfear-driven??) to only show the sparkly, happy ticky-tacky shininess.

Everything crossed that this possibility comes through for you.🤞🤞🤞

I’m sending you all the best energy for everything. And as someone who hasn’t been able to afford a house in L.A. yet when all my friends have, I always appreciate you sharing what it takes to make your house and rental possible. It gives me hope and inspiration and I’m always cheering you on 🙌✨

Wishing you the very best of luck. I agree that it is entirely normal and logical to not feel calm when mortgage or rent payment is in question (especially since being late only adds more fees).

You’re posts pretty much always give me a lot to think about. Probably bc we’re the same age and life seems to be trowing our generation most of the same curveballs.

Anyway, I was just reading another blog and there was one of those “we redid everything” home reveals and my first thought was: this is incredibly unattainable. I’m not a 1%er but I’m financially secure and there is no way I could totally renovate a large house in a few years. Never in my wildest dreams.

I do love your style Orlando but more than that I appreciate how attainable most of your projects are. Do I wish you every opportunity and sponsorship? Absolutely, you seem like a great human and it would be great to see you get that win. BUT on your blog I see reality and I love it!

You’re going to make stock cabinets work: like most of us. You had a contractor do some work that wasn’t done great/ left unfinished and you had to finish it yourself: just like most of us. It takes forever to get new garage doors: like the rest of us. Don’t even get me started on the bathrooms at Londo Lodge, what you did with those was magic and it’s the kind of upgrade your average person can do.

So, thank you. You always give me something to think about. And you inspire me to do something to my home today that is within my reach. (I’m going to touch up the paint on my banister, maybe not as sexy as what I see online but it’ll improve my life 💕)

I very much appreciate your transparency. I am also going through a renovation that has taken years longer and cost far more than I though it would and that I thought would have been generating income a long time ago. I am looking forward to the future when there is income coming from it, but being in the now of it is very difficult and stressful.
